Official beginning of our new training season (#40) began this week. Great start.
Team bonding and coaches introductions took place as we open the doors to our new training location at CrossRoad Academy, 1825 Beacon St. We welcomed three coaches to our 2026 staff - Dan Boren (14gold), Shayla Hudson (Little Spikers), and Savanah Albertson (13gold). All three have previous coaching experience: Dan is the Dwenger HS Girls Varsity Coach and Concordia HS Boys Varsity Assistant Coach. Shayla coaches the girls 6th grade team at St Peters Lutheran school. Savanah is the girls 8th grade coach at Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic school. They join our returning staff of Brittani Bodey, Becky Edens, Bud Lill, Kent Mitchell, Al Rodenbeck, Brigitte Slack, Alexa Monroe, Claire Wallace, and Tony Terrell to make up the FWVBC 2026 coaching roster.

Big Spiker (6th grade) / Little Spiker Program (5th grade)
Big Spiker grade 6 program meets on Tue/Thurs 5:00-6:00pm.
Little Spiker grade 5 program meets on Mon/Wed 5:00-6:00pm.
No weekend travel. Programs begin in January and runs to end of April.
Quality instruction and skill training.
Cost: $295 deposit + $100 payment due on Jan1, Feb1, Mar1
Location: Ft Wayne Training Facility at CrossRoads Academy, 1825 Beacon St.
Scheduled games - officials/scorekeeping/line judging/substitutions) take place during weekly practice time slots. No weekend travel or events.
Program enrollment is open on first registered/deposit, first in basis until filled.

2026 Winter Season begins with practice twice a week.
7-9 tournament dates (no overnight travel)

2026 Sunday night walk in training $10 per event.
JULY
Early Entry Upcoming Season 2027 Team Tryouts & open
registration for 2027 Spiker Non-Travel team program.
OCTOBER
Upcoming Season 2027 Fall Travel Team Tryouts.
Big & Little Spiker 2027 program registration open until filled.

2026 Team formation 4-6 Sunday night sessions.

Reminders
2025 Season Note:
To all teams and coaches. Be sure to pick-up all empty water bottles and paper products following each practice session. All trash must be removed each each evening. Thanks for your help with this matter.
All players on all teams are to report their absence from practice or late arrival using our special club form. This form can be accessed via the drop down menu at the top of this page. This is done prior to practice so coaches can plan their practices based on players present. (Note: All school sanctioned extra-curricular activities are considered excused absences.
